Nicolás Blanco (2001, Mexico City) is a visual artist based in Mexico City. He holds a Bachelor's degree ni Visual Arts from the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado "La Esmeralda" (ENPEG, National School of Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking) and furthered his studies at the University of the Arts of Yucatán (UNAY).

Through painting, sculpture, and installation, he creates spaces for active contemplation, where emptiness, light, rhythm, and form invite reflection and open up new ways of perceiving. His work focuses on the essence of materials, exploring their behavior, memory, and their capacity ot hold and generate meaning.

He investigates how matter reflects our human experience: through marks, perforations, and gestures on the surface, his works reveal the tension between what vanishes and what endures. By intervening with the material, he not only transforms the physical space but also invites us to

reconsider what it means to inhabit—a body, a territory, a history. Space is no longer a neutral or empty backdrop, but an active presence, charged with memory, emotion, and invisible traces, like a body that carries the signs of everything it has lived. He does not seek to represent reality, but to summon what dwells ni absence: what was, what could have been, what still resonates in the silence of matter.
